Halfar System has recently published its new Sustainability Report covering the years 2022/23. The company provides a comprehensive overview of its sustainability practices within its business operations. The document, comprising approximately 70 pages provides detailed background descriptions of the company’s business activities and information on current progress and initiatives in the three sustainability areas: economy (product), ecology and social affairs. The report documents how Halfar System uses resources responsibly, develops innovative solutions and promotes a culture of transparency and integrity within the company and beyond. The report outlines a range of strategies, specific measures and results.
For example, Halfar System has implemented measures to actively reduce CO2 emissions, reduce energy consumption and minimize waste. The company has also addressed the social aspects of its business activities in the context of its supply chain. Furthermore, the report demonstrates that the promotion of diversity, equal opportunities and employee satisfaction are integral aspects of the corporate culture and are practiced on a daily basis. In addition to the avoidance and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the conscious use of resources, the preservation of biodiversity is a core element of Halfar’s sustainability strategy. For this reason, the company has planted various areas on the company premises with species-appropriate vegetation to protect insects. In 2022, the ecological benefits of some of these replanted areas were officially certified by InsectRespect, highlighting their valuable contribution to environmental protection.

In 2023, the company was once again recognized as a family-friendly company. Additionally, the bag maker also impressed with its products. In both, 2022 and 2023, the products submitted were honored with the Promotional Gift Award.
