HALFAR® has been working intensively for years to actively shape this social task. Therefore, sustainability isn’t only a matter of the heart for HALFAR®, but rather lived practice and an integral part of its company DNA. The fact that the bag specialist works on ecological, societal and social issues every day becomes apparent in many examples. Climate Neutrality from 2022
By investing in photovoltaics, roof greening or green electricity, HALFAR® has been actively working on protecting the environment and reducing emissions for decades at its headquarters in Bielefeld. However, despite their best efforts to avoid and reduce, no business can operate entirely without emissions. This does not discourage HALFAR®, who consistently continues its sustainable path: Since 2022, emissions that cannot be avoided are being compensated by carbon offset projects in the production countries; therefore, its headquarters in Bielefeld and the entire HALFAR® standard product range have been climate neutral since 2022. Winning the Promotional Gift Awards 2022
As part of a holistic corporate strategy, HALFAR® puts special emphasis on sustainable product innovations. The Bielefeld company recently won a prize in this area as well: The COOLER SHOPPER SOFTBASKET with its sustainable, resource-saving design without an aluminium frame was awarded the Promotional Gift Award 2022.
Winning the CSR Award “OWL” 2022
HALFAR® was equally successful at the OWL 2022 CSR Prize, with which the OWL CSR Competence Center honours particularly committed and responsible companies in the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region. This marks the second win of the OWL award – this year as a special award from the jury, that has awarded the bag manufacturer for its continuous commitment and its integrated CSR-strategy. Its efforts include a comprehensive environmental concept, e-mobility as well as an award for being a family friendly business.
‘Sustainable Company of the Year’ 2022
The PSI Sustainability Awards are the most important sustainability awards of the advertising industry. They honour companies across Europe in 8 categories for special commitment and innovation in the field of sustainability. HALFAR® was already awarded as the overall winner in 2021.
