Daiber opts for GRS-certified polybags

Gustav Daiber GmbH is taking another important step towards sustainability and environmental awareness. For years, we have been working to reduce our ecological footprint and minimize waste streams. A particular focus is on the use of polybags, which serve to protect our textiles during transportation and storage.

The use of polybags leads to considerable plastic waste and pollutes our environment. To counteract this problem, Gustav Daiber GmbH has been developing sustainable solutions and implementing targeted measures for a long time.

Since 2019, we began using more and more recycled polybags and dispensing with individual packaging, an important contribution to conserving resources. We have now reached another significant milestone: since the beginning of 2025, all our suppliers have been using only GRS-certified polybags.

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) guarantees that recycled materials are used in the production of the packaging and that social and environmental standards have been followed. In this way, we actively contribute to a circular economy and reduce the consumption of virgin raw materials.

Through this action, we are sending out a clear signal for responsible business – for a greener future!

Sustainable action has a long tradition at Daiber. For decades, the sorted disposal of plastic films and cardboard at out headquarters in Albstadt has been part of our daily business. The collected film bales are processed into regranulate – a valuable raw material, that is used for the production of new textiles or polybags. The cardboard is collected after use and fed into the recycling process.
